There are a number of Council Tax discounts and exemptions available.

If you, or someone in your home, falls into one of the categories below, you may be entitled to a Council Tax discount or a full exemption from paying your Council Tax.

Once it’s set up, the payments are done automatically, saving on stamps, paper, envelopes, trips to a postbox and phone calls. Direct Debits continue for subsequent years too, so you won't need to contact us again every April to sort out your payments. You can choose to have your monthly payments on the 1st, 6th, 15th, or 25th of each month.

Pay online with a credit or debit card now. You can pay through our secure server 24/7. You will need to quote your Council Tax account number which will appear on your bill (Diners Club cards not accepted).

When setting any of these arrangements the payment reference to quote is your Council Tax account number which will appear on your bill, your bill will also confirm the instalment due dates and amounts.

You will need to take your Council Tax bill which is barcoded, to any store with Paypoint facility. You should allow at least five working days for payments to reach us by this method.
