We provide professional treatment and advice on a range of different pests at council and private properties. You can book an appointment online now if you know what pest you need treatment for – or request a consultation by phone if you’re unsure about the treatment you need.

All our officers are fully qualified. They have a Level 2 Award in Pest Management from the Royal Society for Public Health.

These fees are for residential properties - we offer different rates for commercial properties and businesses.

We charge £65 for the first wasp nest. Additional nests treated at the same time will be charged at half price. Please note that we do not spray nests until the beginning of July, when the queen is more likely to be in the nest. If the queen is not in the nest when we spray it, there’s every chance that she’ll return and build a new nest nearby, possibly in a location that’s harder to reach.

Foxes are protected under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. You can be jailed or fined if you use illegal control methods. Our pest control officers can lay fox-repellent in your garden and give advice on how to deter foxes from entering your property. We charge £50 for a one-off visit.

Consultations

Consultations allow us to investigate the problem that you are having, and offer treatment advice and options based on what we see at your property. Initial consultations cost £50, and this fee includes:

  • a visit to your property from a pest control officer
  • investigation of the problem
  • treatment advice

This fee will be taken off the cost of any treatment if you require it. Treatments that require follow-up visits can be arranged later.

Please call the Pest Control team on 01273 294266 to arrange a consultation, or to discuss if a consultation is suitable for you.

Wildlife Advice Service

Our pest control officer can give advice on prevention and proofing for wildlife, including badgers, gulls, pigeons and squirrels. The cost of this service is £50.

Our pest control officers will not kill bees due to their value to the environment. If your pests turn out to be bees, you will still be charged for the visit from our pest control officer.

If you have a bee swarm, or a honey-bee nest, you may want to contact the British Bee Keepers Association. They can put you in contact with a local beekeeper/swarm collector.
